smashing nazism, also today

Action for Peace #65

What happened?

Online Laboratory

In times of right-wing and neofascist politics on the rise across Europe, it is more than important to remember the atrocities of the Nazi-fascist regime and the forms of non-violent resistance that took place against it.

How could and did regular citizens around Europe resist against the terror and violence inflicted by the National Socialists? How do we remember these resistance fighters today? And how could these people from history inspire us to stand up for human rights and just societies today?

In this Online laboratory, participants discussed and reflected on these questions.

They focused on remembering the atrocities of the Nazi-fascist regime and the forms of non-violent resistance that took place against it.

They were inspired to organise follow up actions in order to stand up for human rights and dangerous trends challenging our societies today!

One of those actions took place on 27th January for the International Holocaust Remembrance Day in the form of a Silent Exhibition.
They also started a social media campaign on 21st January, in order to promote this Online Exhibition.
