SCI is commemorating its glorious journey of 100 years of PEACE MAKING through VOLUNTEERING and SCI Sri Lanka is proud to have contributed, in some little way, and been a part of this great movement.

Many activities have been planned and some are already being implemented, by SCI branches, groups, contacts and partners in many parts of the world.

The veteran Gathering is one such event. The 1st GATHERING OF THE VETERANS was held in Belgium this year with great success. Now SCI – SRI LANKA is glad to announce the 2nd GATHERING OF THE VETERANS  to be held in Sri Lanka from the 30th of January – 02nd of February 2020.

It is with great pleasure that SCI-SL wishes to invite all SCI veterans, more particularly from the region, to grace this occasion. The agenda would be very flexible and a simple one. Ideas, suggestions are most welcome – it would more or less an SCI family  get-together. A mini work camp/visit to their very first workcamp location (“back to the roots”) is planned. “Human Library” is yet another proposal. Bring along your photos, videos, souvenirs, camp diaries, publications and any kind of past memories that we could share. 02.02.2020 would be the official celebration day and many cultural events are being proposed.
