The anniversary of Service Civil International brought to light the publication “Words about Deeds”. The book is a result of indeed a hard work put by international volunteers and so far it is for sure the book that covers the most of SCI history.
We have recently published an extract of the book, where you can read about the beginning of what this year makes 100 years, the Service Civil International movement. How it happened? Why? Where did the first workcamps take place? How were they like compared to nowadays workcamps? Who was Pierre Ceresole?
